C3i Hosts Fifth Annual Client Conference September 18-20, 2002

Leading Provider of Life Sciences Customer Management Solutions Welcomed Industry Executives to Annual Event

New York, NY - September 30, 2002 - C3i, the leading provider of customer management solutions for the life sciences industry, hosted executives from over 17 life sciences companies to their Fifth Annual Client Conference at the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut, September 18-20, 2002. C3i's annual three-day event included presentations from industry thought leaders, clients, and C3i's own team members. Highlights from this year's conference were a keynote presentation by Jay Carter of the Abelson-Taylor advertising agency and a workshop on IT usage and sales effectiveness by Dr. Michael Ahearne of the University of Connecticut.

Jay Carter, who brings 19 years of pharmaceutical experience, discussed his vision for harnessing sales representative information captured in sales force automation (SFA) systems, analyzing the data, and using the outputs to craft a more effective marketing message. Additionally, C3i welcomed back Dr. Michael Ahearne, who keynoted last year's event. Dr. Ahearne led a workshop focusing on monitoring and measuring the success of investments in sales technology for life sciences organizations. Dr. Ahearne is a professor in the Marketing department of the University of Connecticut as well as Director of the Center for Sales Excellence and Technology Management.

Executives from two of C3i's largest pharmaceutical clients joined this year's speaker lineup and shared the challenges and lessons learned from implementing and maintaining a customer management system within a life sciences organization. The audience of pharmaceutical executives found these peer presentations both informative and helpful to their own businesses and considered them a welcome addition to the conference agenda.

C3i previewed a new service offering for optimizing a pharmaceutical sales environment using analyses of information gathered throughout the customer management ecosystem. The presentation focused on C3i's vision for helping sales and sales operations managers gain valuable insights into the performance and productivity of their sales representatives and use that information to make business and operational decisions. C3i also unveiled its new pharmaceutical Analytics Practice Area, whose charter is to help life sciences companies design, deploy and maintain marketing and sales analytical environments.

C3i welcomed over 70 delegates to this year's event, which focused on demonstrating the critical role that analytical capabilities play in driving the greatest value from a customer management environment. Furthermore, the conference served as an opportunity for peers to gather, exchange information and view some of the latest technologies available in a relaxed atmosphere.
