C3i Industry Experts to Present at the Oracle Health Sciences User Group Conference (OHSUG) in Toronto,Canada

Toronto, Canada – October 13, 2011

C3i Inc, the leading provider of technology support and business process outsourcing (BPO) services for the life sciences industry, announced that C3i industry experts will deliver 6 presentations, 1 tutorial and 1 demo session throughout the Oracle Health Sciences User Group (OHSUG) in Toronoto, Canada, 16 – 19 October. 2011.

Sunday, October 16th

  • Demo Session

        - Presenter: Kevin Shea – Senior Clinical Solutions Director
        - Time: Sunday, Oct.16th , 11:40 am – 12:10 pm

Description: The demonstration will focus on three of C3i’s recently developed services and capabilities. The first offers comprehensive solutions to small- and medium-sized organizations with both rapid study and/or OC/RDC/TMS system deployment, both implemented and validated in C3i’s fully compliant data centers. Solution options will be presented for mobile hardware imaging, provisioning, technical support, and break/fix capabilities. By providing these logistics services to both life science and mobile application development organizations, C3i significantly simplifies the deployment of these tools to the field, enhancing uptime and reducing TCO. In 2011, C3i expanded its operational capacity and capability with the opening of a call center in Dalian, China. The center, located in noted multi-lingual region, allows C3i to provide its clients with the ability to take, respond, and resolve calls in Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean languages

Description: When two large pharmaceutical companies merge, the combination of their research and development organizations often poses some of the greatest challenges. Different cultures, technologies, geographies and focuses result in a complex mix of clinical support process which need to be rationalized to achieve cost efficiencies and greater productivity. This presentation will closely examine, in a case study format, the clinical support challenges and solutions one must manage when pharmaceutical companies merge. The presentation will be focused on the impacts of trying to harmonize disparate processes and how that impacts the end-user of the services (investigators, CRA’s, etc.).

  • Presentation: Lessons Learned - iPad Pilots and Deployments for Remote Users

This presentation will explore the variety of ways to pilot, deploy and support Apple iPads in today’s ever changing environment for Life Sciences.

Tuesday, October 18th

  • Presentation: Case Study - Providing a Full Suite of Clinical Technology Services to a Small Biotech Company

        - Presenter: Kevin Shea - Senior Clinical Solutions Director

Description: The presentation will descrive the challenges faced by a small growing biotechnology company that had to extend capabilities and infrastructure to build and manage a top-level clinical data management system. The presentation will discuss the benefits provided by a turnkey solution from a third-party vendor and will review the lessons learned.

  • Presentation: Are Site Assessments Antiquated for Clinical Trials Utilizing OC-RDC 4.5.3 or 4.6

        - Presenter: Tom Staada – Director, Client Management
        - Time: Tuesday, Oct. 18th - 3:15 - 4:45 pm

Description: The presentation will investigate whether or not Site Assessments are still necessary for clinical trials who are utilizing OC RDC 4.5.3 or 4.6. Quantitative data will be used to show how much time is spent on Site Assessments. The presentation will also take an investigative look at how CRO’s and Sponsors are currently handling site selection and certification. Finally conclusions will be made about the need for Site Assessments based on best practices drawn from what is currently being used from Sponsors and CRO’s.

  • Presentation: How Often Does Your Site Personnel Seek Support Services on OC-RDC 4.5.3 vs Other EDC Applications

Description: This presentation will identify the primary drivers behind why site personnel utilizing OC RDC 4.5.3 require support assistance. Quantitative data will show how support service for 4.5.3 differs from other EDC applications. The presentation will also outline how different regions seek support differently.

  • Presentation: OC RDC User Account Administration Best Practices and Integration of Training Services

         - Presenters: Anna Stoyanova – Client Manager, Jennifer Logue, Clinical Application Specialist Biostatistics, Leo Pharma
         - Time: Wednesday, Oct. 19th - 1:00 pm

Description: Based on experience collaborated from several clients,this presentation will demonstrate ways they have handled account administration while providing pros and cons of each method. A closer look will be taked at how training services can be interwoven within account administration (e.g.: tracking of training records, etc.). In a form of a case study one of C3i’s clients will present in details the whole RDC Training and User Administration processes and will share their best practices.
